stalking my own breath, I was not aware of how
much I could unfold and conform the male race

    1. Thanks, IB. These are old poems I submitted, and I am two feet under, teaching writing this season, unable to do the THING myself. But let us count our blessings, especially if we have kept our distance from respirators, yes? I’ll see you all before the year is up, God willing. Stay safe and snarky. ^ ^

    1. Good hearing from you, Brad. I seized a crack of time that opened up before a pile of papers heads my way. Teaching remotely doesn’t allow me to connect with students as I love to in person, but I am thankful to be kept safe. I hope you are well. Staying fit and happy? 100 daily push-ups? =)

    1. I did my first year at Bryn Mawr. I miss you, Pam! I hope you’ve been able to write if you’ve grown inured to all the jarring news about COVID. Trying to get fresh air has been a silly dream with all the wildfires here.

      1. Wow, can’t even imagine. Riding my bike everyday has been my saving grace during covid.
I’m sure your students were enamored with you. You writing obvi hasn’t suffered from your teaching, Diana. 😘❤️

    1. Hi B! You’re doing well, I hope? He was mortified I really went ahead and wrote about his obsession with my —-. LOL. I hope you are writing and treating yourself to fun things this difficult season. Thanks for reading.

  1. It is amazing all that you have and continue to accomplish ~ and you do it with quality, D., which is a rare find in the world today. Great to see your writing again, wonderful poems ‘Happiness’ indeed. Take care, especially with all that is going on.

    1. Hi Randi,

I appreciate the read. They are pieces I wrote several years ago. I trust you’ve been snapping away. Take lots of pictures for us and for posterity. Help us hold onto the beauty in 2020.

  2. Hi. This is just to let you know that yr poetry speaks to me (even though I am a man, & once a boy) Food job. & because I linked you w/ Facebook & Twitter, hopefully, I just might see new poetry from you there. Do you have a blog? Thank you for time well spent this morning. gray

    1. Sounds like you were well loved. I appreciate the male approbation, although I am confused on the blog question. This IS my blog, as you can see from our shared platform. WP is the only place where I am writing.

Best wishes as you finish out the year.

      1. I can’t imagine being trapped indoors for wks. on end due to wildfire smoke. We got wildfire smoke drifting in from fires in British Columbia.

      2. It rained today! I think for the second time this year (after a sprinkle in Spring). It poured, and I expected the rain to clean the air. But then it still smelled of smoke after! How does that work??

      3. 😦 I wonder if the smoke has impregnated itself in some foliage??? 😦 I’ve never heard of that but then your area has multiple weeks of wildfire smoke.

    1. He is great. Thanks for asking. Serious about physical and spiritual fitness. =) Ah – I didn’t know Australia is more limited in that way. America certainly is a plentiful nation with many opportunities. And doors that don’t readily open you can often kick down, lol.
