Loved these, Diana! So pleased you’re still writing and doing well.
Thanks, IB. These are old poems I submitted, and I am two feet under, teaching writing this season, unable to do the THING myself. But let us count our blessings, especially if we have kept our distance from respirators, yes? I’ll see you all before the year is up, God willing. Stay safe and snarky. ^ ^
Kudos on having your poems published in this and other venues. These poems are visceral and evocative. Glad to see you online Diana and hope all is well in these strange times.
Good hearing from you, Brad. I seized a crack of time that opened up before a pile of papers heads my way. Teaching remotely doesn’t allow me to connect with students as I love to in person, but I am thankful to be kept safe. I hope you are well. Staying fit and happy? 100 daily push-ups? =)
Ha ha Diana. Hardly. More like 100 daily distractions although I am getting a good workout cleaning up my mom’s yard and gardens. I bet you’re a good teacher. Take care auntie. 🤩
Oh, stop. How can you keep calling someone so much younger Auntie? ^ ^
Endearment.
LOL.
Sneaky.
I enjoyed reading these poems.
Thank you, Ian. I hope you and your family are well.
When I was just myself, just forces one to read on to experience the author’s poetic reflection, that becomes a must to continue… Chapeau, Diana!
Hi JJ! Thanks for reading. I hope you’ve been well. Sending love.
Great to see you, Diana. Beautiful writing as always. Also, I didn’t realize you went to Penn! Have a lovely day. Pam
I did my first year at Bryn Mawr. I miss you, Pam! I hope you’ve been able to write if you’ve grown inured to all the jarring news about COVID. Trying to get fresh air has been a silly dream with all the wildfires here.
Wow, can’t even imagine. Riding my bike everyday has been my saving grace during covid.
I’m sure your students were enamored with you. You writing obvi hasn’t suffered from your teaching, Diana. 😘❤️
You really are too kind. They are old poems I’m admittedly glad someone took! Biking sounds wonderful. I trust you are staying creative.
Almost done with a novel. So slow though because WORK take up so much time!🤪
Ha ha ha. Not like writing a novel is work. You gO, girl.
🤪yeah, but it’s fun work!
So good, D. I love it when you write about your kid. Hope you are doing fine.
Hi B! You’re doing well, I hope? He was mortified I really went ahead and wrote about his obsession with my —-. LOL. I hope you are writing and treating yourself to fun things this difficult season. Thanks for reading.
Xxx
Ha. I bet.
(Actually I’m not. I hurt my ankle badly and have been in self-isolation since June. Don’t ask.)
Omg! That’s terrible. I hope you’ve had friends or family helping you, esp with food. I trust it’s healing. You poor thing.
It was tough with an active kid and a working hub. My parents came in Sept. Now that’s huuuge help.
So glad. I’m sorry it was hard before your parents came. Tough times. We take it one day at a time, right?
In my case, one minute at a time.
I’ve been there (and never want to go back). Bear hug.
So good to see your writing again! I’ve missed it and these were—of course—excellent.
Hope you and the boys are well, K.
Congratulaitons on your poems being published in The Writing Disorder. I especially liked “My Breasts.”
So nice of you to take a moment, Priscilla. I appreciate your letting me know because I thought poem that was the weakest. But I had fun writing it. Stay safe and happy.
Congratulations and beautiful poetry!
Thank you, sweet friend. I hope you are staying healthy and happy.
You are welcome! Yes all well 🙂
It is amazing all that you have and continue to accomplish ~ and you do it with quality, D., which is a rare find in the world today. Great to see your writing again, wonderful poems ‘Happiness’ indeed. Take care, especially with all that is going on.
Hi Randi,
I appreciate the read. They are pieces I wrote several years ago. I trust you’ve been snapping away. Take lots of pictures for us and for posterity. Help us hold onto the beauty in 2020.
Beautiful poetry, Diana, and congratulations on their publications. That’s wonderful!

Hi Lauren,
So nice hearing from you. Thanks, and I trust people who are reading blogs are not fighting for their life. Hope you are keeping healthy and staying creative.
Diana
Diana,
Wonderful! From your writing that I have enjoyed since knowing you, it is no surprise that your delving into poetry would be any less enjoyable as well.

Hi Alan,
You always bring me flowers. Thank you, and I hope you’ve kept well this crazy year.
I look forward to seeing you all on the holidays.
My pleasure.
All is well to date. Stay well, you and family. Holidays ahead!!
-Alan
Hi. This is just to let you know that yr poetry speaks to me (even though I am a man, & once a boy) Food job. & because I linked you w/ Facebook & Twitter, hopefully, I just might see new poetry from you there. Do you have a blog? Thank you for time well spent this morning. gray
Sounds like you were well loved. I appreciate the male approbation, although I am confused on the blog question. This IS my blog, as you can see from our shared platform. WP is the only place where I am writing.
Best wishes as you finish out the year.
It’s been a long, long journey for yourself, Diana.
Congrats…on a more freeing part of the journey in life. 😉
I hope you and your loved ones are well, Jean. The CA air has kept us indoors many weeks from the wildfires.
Xxx
I can’t imagine being trapped indoors for wks. on end due to wildfire smoke. We got wildfire smoke drifting in from fires in British Columbia.
I hope the air’s cleared there.
We had it only for a few days..but enough with air quality warnings. I suppose the air where you are is still not good?
It rained today! I think for the second time this year (after a sprinkle in Spring). It poured, and I expected the rain to clean the air. But then it still smelled of smoke after! How does that work??
😦 I wonder if the smoke has impregnated itself in some foliage??? 😦 I’ve never heard of that but then your area has multiple weeks of wildfire smoke.
I’m late to these, but enjoyed them very much. I hope to read more of your poetry.
I am honored. I hope the air there has been better than what we’ve had in CA from the wildfires. Happy holidays.
Happy holidays! The Indiana air is crisp and cool. I am enjoying the difference.
Wishing you peace and joy at Christmas and throughout the New Year! ❤
Thank you, Anna. I wish you a safe, joyful year-end. xxxx
This is tremendous to have your poems recognized. Thank you for sharing! 🙂
Hi Carl,
It is neat, I admit. Hope you are well. Thanks for the time.
You are very, very welcome! I am doing well and hope the same with yourself. 😀
Congrats on having your poetry featured in the Writing Disorder! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks. Recognition’s always nice!
congrats on your publications … motherhood can be tough, how is your son now?
Seems usa has far more publication outlets than my country, Australia 🙂
He is great. Thanks for asking. Serious about physical and spiritual fitness. =) Ah – I didn’t know Australia is more limited in that way. America certainly is a plentiful nation with many opportunities. And doors that don’t readily open you can often kick down, lol.
love the sassy attitude 🙂
