  1. Hi my friend!! I just love your style of writing! Your topics are great and inspires me to go further with my blog! Bless you!

  2. Love your poem, Diana, and Congratulations! I can see why it’s a winner. My attitude is the same as yours, also. We may as well write about it because we won’t win in the battle. šŸ™‚

  3. Congrats, Diana. Love your poem, so beautifully written with the contrast between rural life and life in a city like New York, the way you treat the different generations, the inevitable fact of getting old with the passing of time, the honor and respect paid to the grandmother… Heart-felt. I especially like the 2nd stanza. You have deserved this international poetry prize. BTW, you are among my favorites in the link section of my humble blog. Some time ago I ask you for permission and you agreed. Hope you are happy with it: https://momentsbloc.wordpress.com/links/

  4. Congratulations. It is a nice. Unfortunately I’m not sure I can make it to San Diego on that date, though I also have a dear friend there. šŸ™‚
Do not worry about your grandmother. She knew. Because she had been that same child. And wherever she is now, I’m sure she is smiling at your poem.
    Happy new year.

  5. Congratulations!

I have mixed feelings about aging. On the one hand, it’s a little disappointing to see new wrinkles in the mirror, to know my body isn’t quite as resilient as it once was. On the other hand, I appreciate myself the way I am now. I know I earned every wrinkle and gray hair. I would never want to go back in age. I might like to keep looking good for my age though šŸ˜€ .

    • Life’s weightiest things – change, esp – are never monochrome. Thanks so much for sharing the different shades that color this one for you, Sonia. I love your pride in having earned every bit of your distinction. =) And I appreciate the follow.

  6. It’s been a long time since I have checked in, congratulations on this honor. I am happy for you. Hope you are well.

  7. A heartfelt well deserved congratulations D., an incredible honor only to be surpassed by your incredible poem šŸ™‚ “My touch will look, to someone I love, someday, unpalatable the same.” One of those bittersweet moments that happen often in life, and you capture it well.

  8. Diana, congratulations! Wonderful words! Read your poem again, and of course read more into it. Iā€™m old and over the shock of body changes. As the old know itā€™s daily management of whatever presents that day. Itā€™s also adjusting an attitude toward growing old. Itā€™s just a number! 100 is the new 40! šŸ“š Christine
