1. Thou shalt not waste readers’ time. Offer up thy readers a worthy sacrifice that they might take and leave satisfied.
2. Thou shalt honor thy muse. Be prepared in season, out of season to seize inspiration when she comes that ye might write, dance, photograph, paint thy bliss. Be not caught without thy scroll, ink, pen, iGadget, camera. Thou shalt not redeem the moment the locust has eaten.
3. Thou shalt preview thy draft and spell-check before publishing that the Angel of Vengeance shall not fly over thy blog in the night.
4. Always speak ye the truth.
5. Thou shalt not take up the like button in vain, foremost on this blog. It is holystic ground. Thou shalt in integrity read the posts before clicking anything lest thou incite my wrath. Know ye that I see thou couldst not have read four brain-intensive posts in one minute. I be no fool. I do not need dross. Go ye find something better to do, ye bored soul.
6. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s likes, nor his comments, nor her following, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbor’s.
7. Thou shalt honor thy active supporters as ye best is able. It will go well with thee and thou shalt live long in blogosphere.
8. Go ye forth and support five new bloggers this day. Show unto them kindness. Thy blog shall also be fruitful and multiply.
9. Thou shalt count the cost of brain wear-and-tear and the bloody battle against time. Be ye a good soldier of blogosphere. To blog is to accept a high calling.
10. Thou shalt refrain from grumbling when Holistic Wayfarer tarries in her visit. She is likely beset in the wayfaring, climbing cybermountains, crossing desert valleys, caught in a maelstrom of words. Forget not that she also teaches her boy how to write that he might grow up to be a mighty holistic blogger.

Great, Michelle!
Fantastic post. Great advice as well as entertaining. 🙂
I bless thee for the commendation. It was with great pleasure I drafted the injunctions.
Ha ha ha ha. Thanks.
You are welcome.
I love your use of the biblical form of expressing yourself…….absolutely brilliant!
Was fun. (Yes, the Bible…fun!) =)

Very Good blogging advice, uh I mean commandments. 🙂
Indeed…injunctions.

Makes you sound 100 years older than you are LOL ❤️ but in a cute way 🙂
LOLOL!!!! There you go again, making me feel ancient…aw crap, I’d better stop the old English under this post.
You’re not old, you’re wise 😄❤️
Nice save.
😄
Ah, interesting but would definitely switch #2 to #1 and #1 to #2. 😉
Mmmm….chronologically #2 wouldst precede it. =)

Holistic Wayfarer’s Ten Commandments of Blogging 🙂
What a lady.
Thanks. =) Glad you liked.
Lol, who wouldn’t? Aside from being hilarious, there is deep wisdom in your words, o holistic one 😉
See you round the blogosphere!
I appreciate the affirmation and follow, Daniel. I look fwd to getting to know you and your journey better.
Diana
Thank you for this. How to be a “good” blogger – like being a good person! – as opposed to the millions who post on how to be a more “successful” blogger.
I really appreciate the distinction. =) Thoughtful.
HW
I thank thee for sharing thine wisdom with us, for we are most unworthy of thine words. I particularly enjoyed number five(eth?) (I’m not the greateth at the old English.)
I bless thee thy integrity. May grace and power light thy blogging way.

Thanks.
If I could find 5 decent blogs (original thinking) I would be happy to support and read them. Do you have any suggestions? Because you are holding yourself out as an authority. You might add to this list that preachy material is equivalent to self help “literature.”
Do you search posts under topics of interest in the Reader?
Agree with your 10 Commandments! Thanks for liking ,my post on Buenos Aires Street Artists.
=) Thx for connecting, S.

Having only recently landed in Blogland, I’ve only just read this. It made me laugh but I could see the truth in all things. Bit worried about not coveting my neighbour’s ass; I haven’t seen it yet so I don’t know if it’s nice enough to covet, so I will have to think more on that one 🙂
The ass is yesteryear’s donkey, of course. Indeed, not many donkeys out here in blogosphere (we’re too impatient for such slow transport). LOL. Thx for the follow, JF. Glad you had a laugh. =)
Diana
This would have made a good post to share on LinkedIn as well. I sent it along to the social platforms listed that I use at any rate. Made for a good laugh.
Glad you liked. Thanks for the active support, Chris. =)
You’ve made some really valid point, I’m not sure which is my favourite, but I will hold-my-hand-up to being a bit guilty of breaking one or two, but i’ll try harder to be more conscientious now 😀
Thy honesty lights thy path. Go. Blog in peace.
=)
Thank You! Travel safe 🙂
Please ignore my typos…..I’m glad they’re not on your list of commandments, otherwise I’d be toast 😀
LoL
My fingers have a life of their own, and some days; their spelling is atrocious 😀

Each of your commandments are spoken with integrity and truth…I will do my best to abide by them…
Thou shalt be blessed on this blogging journey… =)
thank you…I especially like that you are taking such good steps to guide your boy…wonderful!
Ha ha ha. Thx for the encouragement.
Hahahahahahahahahhahahahaahhahahah. This is hilarious. Great sense of humour. 🙂
I am glad thou enjoyedeth this.
Love this post. Big believer in all points but especially #7 and #8. I try to carve out several minutes each day exploring tags and finding new blogs to enjoy and support…and most certainly acknowledge any like or comment with a return visit/reply, etc. If a chain is only as strong as its weakest link those who blog should not only express their voice but encourage others to speak as well.
You are most certainly doing a good job. Thanks for connecting and the follow. Welcome. =)
HW
I will strive mightily to practice the 8th commandment starting today. Thank you.
I would love the good report from thy endeavor in two weeks’ time.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
Love number 1! Lol Very true
I very much enjoyed this post and your blog. You write so well and have a lot to say. One of the reasons I love blogging is that it allows us to be both self reflective and creative; of which you are both.
All the best
Moshe
Very sweet. Thanks for the good word, Moshe. Blessings,
Diana
True, true and true. All your adapted commandments should be signed by every blogger before entering blogshpere but none more than the 5th, for God’s and our sake.
have a great week,
Dagmar
LOLeth.
Blogging is great fun and a place to share my adventures. I’m happy that people enjoy reading of my travels, but think I would still enjoy writing if no one read them at all.
Writers are helpless in our art. We will write no matter where or what. But community and audience add a dimension and fullness that just isn’t there in the closet. =)
I relate to this more than you know… terrific! Thanks for this.
I am glad to heareth. =)
Great post! Thanks for visiting my blog. 🙂
