Come To My Party: Please RSVP

So we just talked about dancing. I waited to celebrate the 100,000 views I broke Valentine’s week with the 10,000 follows that were on their way. It’s not a medal or the Ph.D. from my alternative life but here I am. I’ll take it.

The show is 45 seconds. You know Gloria Gaynor’s I Will Survive? Mr. Wayfarer played it and I went with it. Here’s what I’m acting out:

Turn around now. You’re not welcome anymore.
You’re the one who tried to hurt me with goodbye.
Do you think I’d crumble, did you think I’d lay down and die?
No, not I, I will survive. Long as I know how to love I know I’ll stay alive.
I’ve got all my life to live and all my love to give. I’ll survive. I, I, I will survive.

It took all my strength not to fall apart, trying without my mind
to mend my broken heart. I spent so many nights feeling sorry for myself,
how I cried. But now I hold my head up high. And you see me, somebody new.
I’m not that lonely little person who’s still in love with you.
Now you come dropping in, expecting me to be free.

Now I’m saving all my lovin’ for someone who’s loving me.
Go on now, walk out the door. Turn around now, you’re not welcome anymore.
You’re the one who tried to hurt me with goodbye.
Think I’d might crumble, did you think I’d lay down and die?
No, not I, I will survive. Long as I know how to love I know I’ll stay alive.

But we hit a wall with the copyright and had to use a different song – not the one our son was drumming to.

Please rsvp and join the party.

Thank you doesn’t quite seem to cut it. But let me try. Deep appreciation to my most loyal likers and commenters and the quiet readers who haven’t missed a post. Thanks to those who’ve been with me from the start as well as those who find themselves coming back. Thank you to my newest readers and lastly, gratitude always to my husband and son who’ve let me be who I more fully am on the holistic journey.

    • A huge fan of dances…I can tell. LoOk at you, B. In the genes, I think. 1000 is a big milestone. In some ways it gets easier from there – not that blogging is such a HARD slog. Too fun for that. Thanks and…hey, show me that twist again.

  2. Hahaha! You’re so funny, I don’t know how I missed the video on this post first time I viewed it. I am of course, a massive fan of dancing on as many occasions as possible and in the spirit you have shown here. Congratulations on the milestone.

  3. Ohhh myyyy goshhhh Diana!! YOU are the GROOVIEST cool cat…wayyyy cooler than Catherine ZJ. What a way to celebrate. I love it! Can I just put a bunch of exclamation marks to express my enthusiasm for you and your achievements? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bravo mujer te luces MUY bien – espectacular xx

    • Who wouldn’t wanna be cooler than Cat ZJ? Muchas muchas tan muchas gracias y gracias per el espectacular bravo. LOL.
*Bow* Wait. Why aren’t you dancing??!! This world’s flipped on its head.

  4. Congratulations Diana! Thanks for the invite, and may I add, that was one heck of a happy dance! Good on you, I don’t know that I could strut my stuff like you! xo

  6. It’s too bad we don’t live in the same area.
I would have come to your party and dance with you.
Maybe teach you some of my moves or two.
    I enjoyed your video! 🙂

      • ” … and was nice to see some photos of you, put a face to name … ” Why do I get the feeling your readers will say the same? =) And oh indeed, been a blast through and through these two years (and at the party). Thank you for joining us. *Nod*

      • You’re welcome, enjoyed seeing what you’ve been up to … as for ‘going public’ … it’ll happen when it’s ready to 🙂

PS if I do the blog marriage can I divorce you ? *grins evily*

      • There was no pressure on the unmasking. Just couldn’t resist the quip given the nice comment on putting name to face coming from Mr. Incognito.

As to the blog vows, I did say “til you should unfollow and do us part.”

*lips quivering at the thought but standing up tall*

        So…I’ll sign you on. 😉

      • 🙂 … Charisma deserves complimenting on my friend … credit where it’s due … what one get’s from an outside perspective is that you’re a real person, which is endearing … and a person capable of having fun !

Ah so good I don’t have to wait till I die then … So where you taking me for honeymoon ? And don’t say Paris, been there and I didn’t like it … Brazil, South Africa or Anywhere in Asia that has sunshine – that’d probably “seal the deal” 🙂

On a serious note I don’t take follows personally, who follows who etc, blogged about it before – what’s important is connection … sometimes connections become friends …

    • 10,297 but who’s counting? =) As to the honeymoon, New Zealand? Since this was a blog wedding, we’ll have to go take the good news of blogging to unreached peoples. I hear the cattle and produce are naturally organic on pristine water and good land – if you don’t mind the organic fetish. =)

  8. That. Was. Beautiful. Stunningly beautiful 🙂
Ha ~ your creativeness never ceases to amaze, and such wonderful family support as well…200K and 20K are right around the corner for you. It is so nice to get back on WP after a few weeks away and come back to this 🙂

    • Ha ha ha ha. I think I’d said I was willing to dance when you married again, R. *grin* And please…no need for such exceedingly generous projections. Those numbers are not right around the corner. And that’s quite all right! I’m just a bit tired. I’ve no delusions about my dancing ability but it was fun being silly for you all. Glad you enjoyed.

  9. Oh wow! So cheery and energetic, not to mention graceful! I don’t have one graceful bone in my body, ha! ha! So i’m always in awe of people who can dance! You are having so much fun and it’s infectious ;), so kind of wiggled my body too, lol. A big congratulations to you!

  10. Hi Wayfarer, Thank you for stopping by Dollhouses, memories and more and liking! Your site is great and the dancing is absolutely great fun!!!! Keep dancing and making us smile!!! One of my favorite sayings is, “dance like nobody is watching.” It frees the spirit!
